A young male refugee’s corpse stored in a freezer looks out on an island camp for refugees, he is an all-seeing soul telling the story of the refugees who survive in delusion, a young woman refugee overcomes her trauma to discover a new pathway.
Mitra
An 18-year-old Iranian girl became catatonic after she lost her father during their voyage at sea trying to reach asylum; she is the envy many of the unmarried men in the camp. She was saved from drowning at sea by Timon, who has become a surrogate father to her.
Maryam
Mother of Haimon, Pola and a 4-month-old baby boy that she tries to protect. She is mentally unstable after Haemon’s suicide. She no longer recognizes Pola. Only uses her blood mixed with her breast milk which she believes can protect her baby from the mosquitoes.
Timon
75 years old ex-Myanmar Buddhist politician who was wrongly accused of murdering his family in Myanmar. His daughter and his 12- year-old granddaughter had been murdered by the father-in-law. Timon is a fluent English speaker but avoids speaking even one world.
Ravi
An Ex-ISIS member, well educated, insincere, tall handsome heavy set 34 years old Armenian Muslim man who was raised in England. When he understood that he was going in a wrong way he ran from ISIS and now seeks asylum. He speaks 5 different languages.
